Astrocade Raises $56M in New Funding to Build a New Era of Interactive Entertainment

Astrocade

May 5th, 2026

We're thrilled to announce $56M in new funding. The funding includes a Series B led by Sequoia Capital and a Series A led by Sea, with participation from Google's AI Futures Fund, NVIDIA, LG Technology Ventures, Dentsu Ventures, Conviction Embed, Chaac Ventures, Rogue VC, and many more, to build a new kind of interactive entertainment platform. In just eight months since launch, more than 20 million engaged users have joined Astrocade, creating, playing, and showing us what the platform can become.

This funding reflects a shared conviction: Astrocade is becoming the platform where the next generation creates, and the whole world plays. That could mean interactive worlds, games, intelligent companions, educational adventures for kids, or something none of us can yet imagine. Astrocade is built so there's always something worth playing in everyone's pocket, because anyone in the world can create it. Our mission is simple: share fun with the world.

From idea to platform

Before going live, we spent years building the technology that makes Astrocade possible: a platform where anyone with an idea can use generative AI to make it playable in minutes. When we opened the doors, we expected interest. We didn't expect hundreds of millions of plays every month. When there's always something new to play, people come back and tell everyone they know.

Now, with that trajectory accelerating, we're moving fast to expand our team and deepen our investment in the community, fueling it.

Why games, why now

Games are already how hundreds of millions of people connect, compete, and express themselves. Creating one has always been a different story, reserved for those with the right tools, technical skills, and capital. Imagine what becomes possible when those barriers disappear: a teacher builds a history game for her classroom, a kid designs a world straight from their sketchbook, a group of friends creates the party game that doesn't exist yet. At Astrocade, we're already seeing it happen. Because when you make it easy to play, create, and share, people don't just consume. They make something the world can feel. And the timing couldn't be better. As more of us look for alternatives to platforms designed around doomscrolling, games offer something long overdue: a medium that's fun and challenging, emotional and intellectual, social and creative. Built not to provoke, but to inspire.

The creators are the magic

We've always believed the heart of any consumer product isn't the technology, but the people who use it. At Astrocade, we see that every day — tens of thousands of creators pouring their passion into the platform and players all over the world enjoying what they build. Whether it's the friendly competition of our weekly game jams or breakout creators racking up hundreds of millions of plays, people from every background and culture are showing us what this platform can become.

Most exciting is who these creators are (and who they aren't). Most are outsiders to the gaming industry, full of ideas but lacking an outlet. Many have never written a line of code. Some haven't graduated high school. But the best of them, whether teenagers or parents, professional developers or first-time creators, are making thousands of dollars a month, all while expressing themselves in a way that was never before possible.

Astrocade founders Amir and Ali Sadeghian

Built by outsiders, for outsiders

That spirit runs deep in Astrocade's DNA. Founders Amir and Ali Sadeghian are brothers, Iranian-American, raised across four continents. Although life-long gamers, both are math and informatics Olympiad medalists who built their careers at the frontier of AI, not inside the gaming industry. Amir, a Stanford PhD, and Ali, a former Google AI researcher, see that unconventional path as a feature, not a bug. A fresh perspective, combined with first-principles thinking and an extraordinary team, is what made Astrocade possible: a new form of entertainment platform built from a blank slate.

The invitation

Astrocade is already the fastest way to go from an idea to a game that millions can play. With this funding, we're making it faster, more powerful, and open to more people than ever.

If you've ever had a game idea but don't know where to begin, this is where you start.

If you're a player hungry for fresh, fun games that surprise and challenge you, you're in the right place.

If you're a world-class engineer, designer, or growth leader who wants to build the next generational consumer platform, we're hiring.
